The pier is partially open and is closed to fishing. As of early September 2024, the last 100 feet of the St. Johns County Pier will be closed to the public while the pilings are examined and repaired.

The St. Johns County Ocean Pier

St. Johns County Ocean Pier is a popular gathering point in St. Augustine Beach offering a wide selection of activities for locals and visitors. It’s also walking distance from other beach/swim apparel shops, seaside restaurants, and coastal hotels.

The pier hosts several annual events, including the Music by the Sea series during the summer months, and the Beach Blast Off on New Year’s Eve.

Note: Swimming and surfing are not permitted within 400 feet of the pier.

Parking & Admission: There is a parking lot on site. The grounds are free. See the “Reservations” section below for amenities requiring fees.

Reservations: Visitors must pay a fee to access the pier and to fish. The pavilion can be reserved for events and weddings by email. An accessible ramp leads up the pavilion, and rentals are available for the entire day. Call (904) 209-0331 for more information.
