Lakeside Park on A1A in St. Augustine Beach offers a tranquil setting along a busy area of Anastasia Island. With free parking available between the City Hall and the Police Station, it’s easy for visitors to stop for a bit and enjoy the shaded picnic tables, benches, a small fishing pier, and an amazing sculpture garden.
Situated on small Lake Anhinga, where locals go to fish and to feed the turtles, this park is the home of the Veteran’s Memorial of St. Augustine Beach. Local musician and artist, Thomas Glover White installed over a dozen large sculptures in the park during 2010 and 2011.
The park is free to the public. Swimming is not allowed in the lake.
